ABOUT SHRAM

Shram: A Commitment to Focused Effort and Meaningful Change

Shram
is derived from a Sanskrit word which means focused effort. Deep within, we believe that the only way to achieve or realize our goals is through unstinting effort. Our tagline Udeymen hi Sidyanti is taken from a Sanskrit shloka.

उद्यमेन हि सिध्यन्ति कार्याणि  मनोरथैः
 हि सुप्तस्य सिंहस्य प्रविशन्ति मुखे मृगाः ।।

This verse encapsulates the fundamental truth that success comes through effort, not mere wishes.  one must actively pursue their objectives rather than wait for fortune to intervene.

A decade ago, Shram was founded as a self-help group by a small collective of doctors and professionals from diverse fields. What began as a humble initiative to address the healthcare needs of the economically disadvantaged soon grew into a broader movement.
